Prayers please

I feel very strange tonight. Holy Week is really the centre of the year for a priest - as it is for all the faithful - but today I had to hand over the celebration of the Liturgy of the Triduum to our Vicar General, Mgr Moran, and I will also be missing the Chrism Mass as I have to be on hand at home. My sister - whom I mentioned before - is now in the last few days of her fight with cancer. Today she was admitted to the local hospice in Stoke-on-Trent. So please pray for her. Her name is Mandy Buxton. I am very thankful to brother priests who are willing to help in such circumstances, and to all people for prayers.

Have prayed daily for your sister Fr Julian. i offered the Stations of the Cross last night for her & all the family & will do the same today.

i 'harp' on a lot about the excrusiating sufferings of the 'mentally ill', but must never forget that all illness is painful. as you know my cousin's little daughter Emily (age 9) has terminal cancer..& then your sister.

We surely cry out 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?' But then like you say he has sent you your brother Priests as companions just as Jesus had.You also have the respect of all that have met you..i can't believe we only met once..i feel like i knew you all my life.

Thinking of our Holy Father John Paul ll as he entered Calvary on his last journey, & asking his intercession, that your sister may know a great peace & comfort, during her last days on earth..& oh what a great grace to have a brother a Priest...

God bless Fr Julian, & look after yourself too...
