NB "Kookaburras" -

You may not know the traditional Australian children's song about the Kookaburra, which I was taught at primary school:

"Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree,
"Merry, merry king of the bush is he,
"Laugh, Kookaburra, laugh, Kookaburra,
"Gay your life must be."

(etc.)

I think that reptile is a blue-tongued lizard: there's an obvious way to check!

The first bird that you have a question mark for is a curlew and the lizard is a water dragon. One of my younger brothers has a penchant for tickling them under the chin. Quite interesting to watch.
