Fit for a King

We began the new year at Campion College with the return of the College's monstrance, newly refurbished. It had been in a very poor state and used for many years but, through Sarks Bros of Sydney, was sent to Luis Molina Acedo in Madrid to be refurbished. They did a magnificent job with it. Our regular periods of Exposition and Adoration have begun again at the heart of the College's life.

Do you have a 'before' picture of the monstrance?

No, I didn't think to photograph it before refurbishment.

Dear Father

This is very heartening!

May God bless you and all your students as you spend time before the Lord.

Please continue to keep our country in your prayers during this grave time.

Yours in Jesus

Dear Father

Was that the monstrance that was at Toongabbie when it was still the Marist Fathers' novitiate in the late 70s?

It looks so familiar and I think it was.

I enjoy reading your blog.

Martin, yes, as far as I know, it is the original Marist monstrance from Toongabbie. It looks great now that it has been refurbished properly. The spaniards are the best at metalwork of this kind.
