Pilgrimage for the Sanctity of Life.

This coming Sunday, 22nd September, Bishop John Sherrington, is leading a Pilgrimage at Our Lady's Shrine in Walsingham for the sanctity of life. The pilgrimage begins with Holy Mass at noon at the shrine, followed by packed lunch, Holy Hour, Holy Mile walk, concludes at about 6pm.
Following this, from 25th September till 3rd November, the "40 Days for Life" takes place. This movement to protect mothers and babies is now coordinated worldwide. Nine cities in England now participate, including leeds. The movement has three components; prayer and fasting, vigils, and community outreach. Visit www.40daysforlife.com/leeds.

If this movement is meant to protect mothers and babies, do we have any movement to protect fathers and babies?
That would help reduce the fatherless children (1 in4 children are abandon by their fathers, abandon to death by starvation in the womb of the mother)..

Jenny, your point is very important. I'm not sure that there is a movement to strengthen fathers and fatherhood - but this does need to be engendered. Fr R
